Oh mean yeah this happened all the time.
When I was a kid, on our way home from the meetings, my dad would sometimes drive by the homes of people who weren't at the meetings to see if they were home or not.
i remember that every time when my father and i came home from the meeting, my mother (who stayed at home for my disabled brother) asked us "who was attending and who wasn't attending".. and then, we took some time to drink coffee and went through the list who was there and who wasn't.
there after there was an opinion made why someone was absent and what this meant in relation with his strength of believe.. just curious, do you recognize this?
gorby.

i have some updates and new information on the downsizing in bethel.
25% of all bethelites around the world will be sent home.
in the us over 1,000 will be sent home.
Ah yes. Cleaning and laundry.
First, you're an idiot if you let Bethel Laundry touch your stuff. They ruined a lot of my clothes. However, I do wonder if they'll keep dry cleaning. It's a pretty small department and that is something one cannot easily do on their own.
Cleaning the rooms. LOL. Good luck with that. My routine (and my room-mate, was just to throw all our shit in the closet so it was out of sight. Dishes went in the microwave out of sight. We'd eventually clean up over the weekend, but during the week it was gross. Although I do wonder if they'll adjust some of their insane rules if they won't have housekeepers anymore.
i have a vague memory of jws having some objection to logos of some kind in the past, which might be a contradiction to the recent addition of the jw.org logo.. please can someone enlighten me on what their stance used to be regarding logos?.
the new "bible teach" book is out!
thetruthbr has posted links for this and several other of the new publications.
as an educator, i am very interested in where the society is heading with their alleged "bible education" program.
Here's the relevant part from the letter sent to congs.
"Teach Us Book: The first provision is a new 224-page publication entitled What Can the Bible Teach Us? It is based on the book What Does the Bible Really Teach? The Teach Us book does not replace the Bible Teach book. Rather, it will be useful when studying with individuals who need to have the truth presented in a simpler manner. "
So it's really not surprising at all that the book is aimed at a low reading level.

This book isn't the new Bible Teach book. It's not replacing it. It's the same material dumbed down for those with limited reading ability and people who are otherwise just dumb. Seems like it does the job.
It's very telling that the WT CONSTANTLY is releasing new books to target this group. Gee I wonder why.
just heard from a reliable source that some at the canadian branch have received their lay-off notices under their doors at bethel.
don't know what the letter looks like.
probably something like, " the tribe has spoken, bring us your torches"
for people who already are bedazzled by the current stream of information about watchtower / jw.org real estate planning, renovation and the emergency stop on the building programma called out, i found today that the renovation design of the (impressive!
) toledo buildings for the watchtower real estate staff, is designed by a state of the art designer.

first person to say, "this scishow episode is a monsanto conspiracy," is a rotten egg..
there is a visitor brother in town and from what ive been told, he has been a missionary for many years and they were having a get together for him.
i took my mom to that get-together yesterday and stayed for a few minutes.
i heard a group around a table with the visitor brother talking about how hard it was getting in the world with so many distractions and that many of the brothers were falling into the trap and leaving jehovahs organization.
